Mariazell basilica

This is the basilica in Mariazell, in the Styrian region of Austria. Haydn's Missa Cellensis or Mariazellermesse was dedicated to those who made the pilgrimage to Mariazell (Maria's cell). He composed it in 1782.

Many thanks to all those who helped make"A Fanfare for Christmas" such a success, especially the pupils, teachers and parents of Belmont Primary school, and of course our conductor, Rupert Gill.

Rehearsals in 2018 start on Monday 8th January, and we will be performing Haydn's Missa Cellensis on Saturday 17th March.
